Pook's Hill Lodge
The Pook's Hill Lodge is located in the foothills of the Mayan Mountains in the Cayo District. Set in a 300-acre private natural reserve, this jungle hotel has two miles of river frontage and borders the Tapir Mountain Nature Reserve, a 6800-acre rainforest sanctuary that is home to colorful toucans, hummingbirds, howler monkeys and jaguars. Ideal to see Western Belize, Pook's Hill Lodge provides you with an exciting jungle experience in route to Tikal and the Mountain Pine Ridge area. The spacious and cool cabanas at Pook's Hill Lodge are built in the traditional Mayan style with fully screened thatched roofs. Each cabana is detached with a roomy bathroom that includes hot water. Tropical gardens leading to the creek and the jungle surround the cabanas and a small Mayan Plaza. The Lodge at Pook's Hill is in walking distance from the amazing Actun Tunichil Muknal Cave, among the most adventurous caving opportunities in Belize.
