Cotton Tree Lodge
The Cotton Tree Lodge is a jungle hotel located 12 miles by either road or boat from Punta Gorda. The lodge sits on 100 acres along the banks of the remote Moho River and features 10 riverfront cabanas. Each unit is built well above the ground and nestled in the wild fig trees that line the river's edge. Each cabana at the Cotton Tree Lodge has hot and cold water, a private bathroom, thatched roofs, eco-friendly flush toilets, screened in windows, ceiling fans, and spacious private decks with hammocks overlooking the river.
The Cotton Tree Lodge does not have any access to electricity and uses solar power for basic electrical needs. The lodge maintains an organic garden and has begun a reforestation program planting teak and mahogany trees. It also offers a observatory platform providing panoramic views of its tropical fruit orchard and extensive trail system throughout its 100 acres of rainforest. When you are at Cotton Tree Lodge you are immersed in the jungle and all the staff make sure that all your needs are met right on the property.
